1: When is class over?

Morning class ends at 11:30 a.m. to break for lunch, which lasts until 12:30 p.m. Following lunch, there will be an outdoor recreational activity. Examples are Frisbee, Volleyball, Scavenger Hunts, North Campus Tours, as well as Visits to various College research labs and facilities of interest to campers. The afternoon class goes from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. After that, students have free time to play computer games or go outside for another recreational activity. Residential students have dinner between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

2: What can I do after class?

During free time, many campers stay in the Pierpont Commons computer labs to play Counter Strike (very, very popular last year), Quake, Starcraft, Worms or pretty much any other game that fits your fancy. There is always some sort of outdoor after class activity planned; last year we played soccer, volleyball and frisbee when the weather cooperated. Dinner for residents is 5:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m. at the Bursley dorms.

3: I'm a resident, what is there to do at night?

Traditionally, we have daily meetings at 6:00 p.m. for all of the residents to discuss camp issues as well as to plan the evening activities. Many campers like to go back to the labs for gaming or to finish up projects. Other prefer to trek downtown Ann Arbor for shopping and a night on the town. We also play Ultimate Frisbee games out in a nearby field as well as some pretty intense Capture the Flag games in the Arboretum. Interested campers are also invited to go to the U-M North Campus Recreational Building for swimming, basketball, racketball, and exercising. Bring a swimsuit if you want. Also be sure to bring some grungy clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty in!

On the weekend, there are a variety of scheduled activities that may include Movies, Laser Tag, Bowling, Putt-putt Golf, Picnics, and other.

4: Is there a basketball court / football field / soccer field / gym / pool?

Similar to last year, the Camp will have some access to the North Campus Recreational Building (NCRB), which houses a pool, two basketball courts and tennis court. There is an open field just south of the Duderstadt Center where we play football and Ultimate Frisbee.

5: What do we do on the weekend?

On the weekends, we have some gaming tournaments planned as well as some field trips to Bowling, Laser Tag, and Rolling Hills Water Park (be sure to bring a swim suit). Following that will be dinner (perhaps a BBQ) and our very popular Counter Strike tournament.  Aside from that, the weekend is good downtime, especially if you just want to relax. Not only that but it‘s the perfect time to get to the washing machines and get some laundry done.
