About the College of Engineering

College of Engineering Campus

Camp CAEN is a computer science camp offered by the University of Michigan College of Engineering. There are other commercial computer camp programs that take place on the University of Michigan, however, Camp CAEN is the only one offered by the University, and it is sponsored by the College of Engineering.

For anyone excited about the potential of technology, there's no better place to learn and explore than the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Michigan Engineering offers a rare combination: high-quality scholarship, a broad scope of teaching, learning and research opportunities, and large-scale impact.

Empowered with knowledge and inspired by a tradition of accomplishment across disciplines, Michigan Engineers excel at solving the world's most challenging problems. Key discoveries, innovations and solutions in many fields, generated at the College of Engineering, are in use throughout the world today, making a practical difference in people's lives. With focused expertise, far-reaching vision and a strong commitment to humanity, the College of Engineering is creating students, scholars and technologies that are transforming the world.

Continuing to define the great public university, the University of Michigan is home to 19 colleges, schools and divisions, which are among the top in their fields. In fact, U-M is one of only three universities in the nation with highly ranked engineering, medical and business schools. U-M faculty, staff and students experience the strong tradition of excellence known as the "Michigan Difference" in classrooms and labs, on the playing fields and in the community.
