Alumni Society Distinguished Service Award

The Alumni Society Distinguished Service Award was established to honor a College of Engineering graduate who has given generously of time and talent to further College projects and activities. Service may be to the College as a whole or to an individual department. One award will be presented annually. Nominees may not be current Alumni Society Board members, but former board members may be nominated.

  • Presentation of Award
    The service award will be presented at the annual Alumni Society Awards Dinner on Friday, October 3, 2008, during Michigan Engineering Alumni Weekend.
  • Deadline for Nominations
    Nominations for the 2008 Alumni Society Distinguished Service Award must be received by April 28, 2008.

Alumni Society Medal

The Engineering Alumni Society established the Alumni Society Medal in 1992 in order to honor those alumni who personify the College's tradition of excellence. Each year the Alumni Society Medal is presented to an alum who has attained extraordinary achievement in a field of specialization, and who has brought distinction to the College of Engineering. It is the highest honorary accolade awarded by the Alumni Society.

Recent Engineering Graduate Award

Established in 2001, the award is presented annually to an alumnus/a who has contributed substantially to his/her field and has either graduated from the College of Engineering within the last ten years or is no more than 35 years old. Nominees will be judged by their demonstrated leadership skills, professional contribution and service to the community or the College of Engineering.

    The award will be presented at the annual Alumni Society Awards Dinner on Friday, October 3, 2008 during Michigan Engineering Alumni Weekend.

    Nominations for the 2008 Alumni Society Recent Engineering Graduate Award must be received by April 28, 2008.

How to Nominate

Alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends may submit nominations for the 2007 awards by downloading the appropriate nomination forms, printing them out and mailing them to the College along with supporting documentation. If you are unable to download the forms from the links, below, please call Engineering College Relations at (734) 647-7042 and the College will mail the nomination forms to you.
