John Hubbell (BS Eng. Physics '49, MS Physics '50) and his wife, Jean, traveled to McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, where he spoke at the 6th International Topical Meeting on Industrial Radiation and Radioisotope Measurement Applications.

Edward H. Klevans (MSE '58, PhD '62), a professor and department head emeritus of the Nuclear Engineering Department at Penn State, has been elected a fellow of the American Nuclear Society.

Harold Y. H. Law (MSE '62) and Roberto Strehler (MSE '61), roommates at Michigan Engineering, hadn't seen each other for 44 years. Law looked up Strehler during a recent trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the two had a visit that, they said, was "just like old times."

Richard Gullickson (MSE '68) wrote to say that he's director for the Advanced Systems and Concepts Office at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.

Cletus (Mel) M. Bost, Jr. (MS '71, MBA '78) reported that he's a strategic project coordinator with the Conoco Phillips Corporation Global Information Services Program Management Office in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Douglas C. Wood (MSE '74) has received an Outstanding Engineering Alumnus Award from the College of Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. He's currently vice president of Advent Engineering Services, Inc., in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

John C. Engdahl (BSE NE '74, MSE '75, PhD '78) has been appointed the Donald V. Fites Chair of Engineering and Technology at Bradley University's College of Engineering and Technology in Peoria, Illinois.

Harry Goodman (BSE '80) told Michigan Engineer that he's has been named design engineering manager at Entergy, Inc.

Dan Sajkowski (BS ChE '81, MS ChE '82) currently manages British Petroleum's refinery in Whiting, Indiana.

Marvin L. Adams (MSE '84, PhD '86) wrote to say that he's now associate vice president for research at Texas A&M University.

Kevin R. Vliet (BSE IOE '92, MSE IMSE '01) has been appointed technical fellow in Operations Engineering at the Visteon Corporation headquarters in Van Buren Township, Michigan. He's also treasurer of the Michigan Simulation User Group and a senior member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

David I. Poston (PhD '94) was awarded the American Nuclear Society's Special Award for Space Nuclear Power.

Gautam Agrawal (BSE '95, MEng '96) completed his MD in 2000 at the Ohio State University. Agrawal, who plans to complete his residency in Radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2005, has accepted an MRI fellowship in San Francisco, California. In 2003 he established VisionRadiology, a teleradiology company that communicates by Internet to interpret radiologic procedures performed around the world.

James Baciak (BSE '98, MSE '01, PhD '04) wrote to say that he accepted a faculty position at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

David Pennock (PhD CSE '99), senior research scientist at Yahoo! Research, was recently named to Technology Review's list of 35 top technology innovators under the age of 35.

Michael McCorquodale (MSE EE '00, PhD '02) is the founder of Mobius Microsystems, Inc., which received an award from Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm for "Largest Job Creation by a High-Technology Company."

Jim Platte (BSE '01, MSE '02) wrote to say that he received an MA in Science, Technology and Public Policy from the George Washington University in May 2005, and is currently spending one year at the Department of Energy headquarters in Germantown, Maryland, as an intern in the National Nuclear Security Administration's Nonproliferation Graduate Program.

Emily Newell (BSE CE '04) has joined Stormwater Management, Inc., as a project designer at its headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

Portia Peters (BSE ME '04) has won the title of Miss Chicago 2005.
