150 Years of Education

For 150 years, Michigan Engineering faculty have been challenging students and helping them develop the skills needed to negotiate the hurdles they'll come upon in a rapidly changing, increasingly technical world. It is also the role ofFirst Engineering Building Michigan Engineering educators to instill in students the belief that learning doesn't end when they leave the classroom, the laboratory or the campus. And the College of Engineering's faculty understand that an education of excellence must produce graduates who are leaders and responsible, accountable citizens.

Michigan Engineering has been achieving these ambitious educational goals for 150 years. With curricula that have been practical, flexible and focused. By creating an educational environment that reflects the diversity of the real world, where interaction with people of varying backgrounds is vital to success. By providing opportunities for students to interface with industry in order to acquire an appreciation for engineering  that's practical and readily applicable to real-world problems. And by being innovative in its approach to education.
