    Two Electrical Engineering and Computer Science doctoral students and an MBA student from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business won first place in the national CleanTech Venture Challenge hosted by the University of Colorado.   • Cain Receives Early-Stage Biomedical Research Award
    The Hartwell Foundation selected BME Professor Charles Cain (PhD '72) to receive a Hartwell Individual Biomedical Research Award for "Non-invasive Ultrasonic Tissue Erosion for Congenital Heart Disease Therapy." The Hartwell competition funds early-stage, innovative and cutting-edge biomedical research to benefit children.
  • Tishman Professor Named
    CSE Professor John Laird (BS '75) has been named the John L. Tishman Professor of Engineering. This new endowed chair was established by John Tishman (BSE EE '46, DEng Hon '00) to support the teaching and scholarship of a distinguished faculty member.
