Ann Lurie Gives $25 Million to Michigan Engineering

Chicago-based philanthropist Ann Lurie has pledged $25 million to the University of Michigan College of Engineering, the largest gift ever received by the College. The gift will help support new programs in biomedical engineering and integrated microsystems, programs that offer tremendous opportunities to improve the quality of everyday life. (MORE)

Michigan Engineering Fund Supports Instructional Technology

The MEF is an invaluable resource that helps make possible the extraordinary opportunities that Michigan Engineering students are afforded. In addition to support for core programs, such as laboratory upgrades and scholarship funding, the MEF funds the exploration and implementation of new ideas that strengthen education at the College. Gifts to the MEF subsidize numerous CoE assets, such as the Office of Instructional Technology (OIT), which is promoting the development and use of instructional technology, a method of learning that’s making its mark as a progressive instructional tool. Robert and Nancy Denner—New Co-Chairs of the Parents’ Program
