Grace Bigby, wife of alumnus Paul Bigby (BSE ME 31), died January 25. Bigby was an Ann Arbor entrepreneur and a supporter of the symphony. She was also an active member, with her husband, of the Class of 1931E Scholarship Committee.
Herbert Galliher, professor emeritus of Industrial and Operations Engineering, died August 16, 2000. A native of Washington, D. C., Galliher explored a variety of applications for operations research, including its use in the field of medicine.
Lloyd Heneveld (BSE EE 50) died November 24, 2000. He was a standout on U-Ms 1947 and 1948 football teams, and later went on to earn a law degree and become a patent attorney. He was serving on the Class of 1950E Emeritus Committee at the time of his death.
Howard Holmes (BSE ME 37) died January 3. For over 50 years, he provided leadership to his familys business, Chelsea Milling Company, serving as its president, director, and chairman. He was also an active community leader, promoting education, health care, services for children, and animal welfare.
Raymond Mosher, professor emeritus of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, died November 8, 2000. A graduate of MIT, he worked in industry and government and taught at the University of Vermont and Dartmouth College prior to his tenure at Michigan.
Jane TenBroeck died September 16, 2000. She and her late husband, Howard (MS 37), were benefactors of the College of Engineering. She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in elementary education and taught for several years.
