- GM Ends Matching Contributions Program
Due to market conditions and budget constraints, General Motors will suspend the Matching Contributions Program for educational institutions effective October 1, 2008. The GM Foundation will match all employee donations made to universities and received by the institutions by midnight, September 30, 2008, to be processed according to the guidelines. Donations will only be accepted that are documented with a date prior to October 1, 2008. All gift confirmations that meet these guidelines need to be received by the GM Matching Contributions Program by no later than November 3, 2008.
