Application Fee Information
A non-refundable application fee is required of all applicants except students who have matriculated as U-M undergraduates. Credit card and E-check payments are accepted through Embark's online payment system.
Fee Amounts:
- US Mailing address $40
- International mailing address $55
- U-M Students (Ann Arbor, Dearborn or Flint) $0
Checklist of Supplemental Documents
- High school transcript (only if you are an External Transfer applicant)
- Results of ACT, SAT and AP tests (only if you are an External Transfer applicant)
- Any placement examination results, if taken on the U-M Ann Arbor campus
- All transcripts from colleges outside of the U-M Ann Arbor campus (ask your institutions to mail your transcripts in sealed and signed envelopes directly to the address shown at the bottom of this page). Students in other U-M Ann Arbor schools or colleges must submit original transcripts from all classes taken at other institutions of higher education.
- Syllabi for engineering courses not previously evaluated (courses not show on the
U-M College of Engineering database of course equivalencies [actively link to http://www.engin.umich.edu/transferdatabase/index.jsp]
Note: All documents received are part of your permanent record and will not be returned.
In addition, International Students must submit the following
- Copy of Secondary school diploma, transcript or certificate
- Any A-level, IB or AP test scores (if taken)
- Syllabi (in English) for all post-secondary classes taken outside of the U.S.
- Proof of English Proficiency: All international students and applicants from Puerto Rico must prove proficiency in English at least at the minimal levels. Scores are valid for two (2) years.
