Application Fee Information
A non-refundable application fee is required of all applicants except students who have matriculated as U-M undergraduates. Credit card and E-check payments are accepted through Embark's online payment system.
Fee Amounts:
- US Mailing address $40
- International mailing address $55
- U-M Students (Ann Arbor, Dearborn or Flint) $0
All College of Engineering transfer applicants need to
supply the following in order for an application to be considered
complete:
- Submitted Web Application (includes uploaded resume, essay, and up-to-date biographical information)
- Application fee
- Official college transcripts from all institutions attended
External domestic and international transfer applicants (not LS&A transfer students) also need to provide:
- High School transcript
- Results of any AP or IB tests
- Results of ACT or SAT test - if available
Non-native speakers of English also need to supply:
Applicants with credit from any international College or University also need to supply:
- Official college transcripts in English (official translations are accepted)
- Course descriptions and syllabi (in English) for all coursework taken outside of the U.S. (We will not translate the material for you). PDF format is preferred. Email to enginrta@umich.edu
- The following course materials may be required for courses that have not been previously evaluated for transfer credit: homework assignments, projects, quizzes, exams, course textbook name & author, course contact hours including lecture and/or lab hours per week, or any other information that is deemed necessary to evaluate a course for transfer.
- The Supplemental Course Materials form must accompany course descriptions, syllabi, and other course material submitted with an application.
- Completed Financial Resources Statement
- Financial backing documentation (dated within 1 year at term of enrollment). All documents must be in original form and/or copies certified by the issuer. Original documents must be in English, or accompanied by an official English translation.
- Copy of biological page of passport
- Copy of current I-20 and I-94 if currently studying in the U.S.
