Engineering Tours and Visitations (ongoing)

For prospective students and their families. Tours take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. A schedule with afternoon availability preferred. This includes an information session, walking tour of Engineering facilities and an opportunity to learn more about Engineering departments and the academic environment. Engineering Summer Symposium for Scholars (ES3) (July - August, one-day sessions, by invitation)

A recruitment program for prospective applicants of the highest academic caliber. The focus is on showcasing the College of Engineering through exposure to faculty, facilities, student life, co-curricular activities and resources. For more information, email es3@umich.edu.

Shipman Scholars Weekend (March)

The Shipman Scholar Award is a top scholars recruitment program that brings students to campus to interview for a premier scholarship. Students are selected by the Shipman Committee and invited to attend the weekend program.

Campus Days (January - April)

Held in cooperation with the Undergraduate Admissions Office and targets admitted engineering freshmen and their parents for a one-day visit that consists of information sessions, tours, opportunities to visit classes, and other activities to showcase the University and the College. Society of Women Engineers Shadow Days (various dates throughout the year)

One-day visits by high school students who are paired with engineering students to visit classes, participate in special sessions, and experience life as an engineering student. For more information, visit http://www.engin.umich.edu/soc/swe.

Society of Women Engineers Summer Engineering Exploration Program (July or August)

A one-week summer program for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who would like to learn more about the field of engineering with a special emphasis on women in engineering. This program provides department visits, sessions with faculty, engineering demonstrations and design projects, and the opportunity to learn from current engineering students about their experience with college life, classes and preparations for their futures. Summer Engineering Academy (June - August)

An outreach program of UM's Multicultural Engineering Programs Office (MEPO) that provides a series of enrichment experiences for 7th - 12th graders to give exposure to the exciting world of engineering. Spring Welcome Day (March or April)

In cooperation with other campus units, a weekend visitation program for admitted underrepresented minority students and their families. Invitations sent by Office of Undergraduate Admissions. For more information, visit http://www.admissions.umich.edu.

Tech Day (November)

An all-day, annual event that invites all prospective high-school students and transfer students to explore Michigan Engineering. Camp CAEN Summer Computer Program

Camp CAEN is a world-class computer and technology camp offered by the University of Michigan College of Engineering's Computer Aided Engineering Network (CAEN). Knowledgeable staff, including enthusiastic engineering student mentors, teach classes that range from programming to Web site design to virtual reality.
