Admissions
Engineers come from all walks of life, from every state in the nation and from around the world. Undergraduates at the University of Michigan College of Engineering reflect that same diversity and, in doing so, create an educational experience that extends beyond the academic to the cultural and the practical. In short, the life of a student in the College of Engineering is preparation for life not only as a professional engineer but also as a citizen of the world.
Each year the College enrolls about 1,000 first-year and 300 transfer undergraduate students. Applicants are talented. Competition is stiff. Those who become U-M College of Engineering students can count themselves among the best in the world.
