Welcome from the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education

The Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Education (ADRGE) provides support for the College of Engineering's research enterprise, seeking to enhance the strength and vitality of engineering research. This is accomplished by identifying new research opportunities, encouraging research collaborations, and facilitating partnerships among faculty both within and outside the University of Michigan as well as non-University individuals and organizations.

Additionally, the ADGRE is responsible for the education and welfare of the College of Engineering’s graduate students and research fellows. ADRGE oversees nineteen graduate programs, including five interdisciplinary professional programs. Most of these programs are highly ranked nationally. We strive to recruit the top students from around the world and prepare them for successful careers in academia, industry and the public sector after graduation.
