The Proposal Approval Form
The University uses the Proposal Approval Form, or PAF, to internally record the submission of a proposal. Among other things, it details the cumulative budget, cost sharing, indirect cost rate, and conflicts of interest. Signature of the PAF is required by the principal investigator (PI), Department Chair, Dean, and the University. Below is the timeline when the PAF and the "administrative shell" should be submitted to the Office of the Associate Dean for Research (ADR) for timely signature. Please go to the website for the Division of Research Development Administration (DRDA) to complete and print a Proposal Approval Form (PAF).
The Administrative Shell
The ADR requires that the administrative shell include: a completed and signed Proposal Approval Form, a detailed proposal budget (cumulative & for all years of the project), a budget justification, and a statement of work/executive summary.
