Mech Eng

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is currently seeking candidates for multiple tenure track faculty position.  We are interested in all candidates who have strong background in the fundamental disciplines related to mechanical engineering , especially those who can enhance the department's research education capability in the following thematic areas:

  • Energy storage systems (part of a university-wide cluster search in energy storage)
  • Broad energy/power engineering
  • Nano-scale engineering or manufacturing
  • Manufacturing in emerging areas (e.g., manufacturing systems for products with high variety and customization, movel energy components, bio-materials/devides, sustainability)
  • Future transportation systems (e.g. alternative powertrains, autonomous vehicles/mobile robots)

Applicants should have an earned Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related fields.  For best consideration, condidates should apply now.  Applicants will be considered immediately and up to January 5, 2009 or until the positions are filled.
