The University of Michigan invites applications for the position of Chair in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE). Candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarship, demonstrated leadership ability, a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, and the vision to advance the academic leadership of the IOE department in the coming years. In addition, they must have an earned doctorate in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Ergonomics, or a related field. The IOE Department currently has 23 full-time faculty, 5 jointly appointed faculty, 21 adjunct faculty, outstanding undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, and a broad portfolio of externally-funded research.
