Center for Ultrafast Optical Science
The College of Engineering invites applications for a faculty position in ultrafast optics and high field science. While the successful candidate's research will reside in the Center for Ultrafast Optical Science, a major interdisciplinary research center within the College of Engineering, he or she will hold a primary tenure track faculty appointment in one of the departments within the College of Engineering. The research field can be either experimental or theoretical/computational and should be in ultrafast optics, with an emphasis on attosecond pulses, high-field science or relativistic plasma physics. Qualifications include outstanding achievements in research, a doctorate or equivalent, and a strong commitment to teaching. Although we are considering candidates primarily at the junior level, exceptionally qualified senior candidates will be considered.
