If you are using the same text and posting as last year due to a carry-over, please alert Lorelle Meadows.
- Updated Self-Identification Form to secure AAR information from candidates - an updated link and draft letter have been added to the ADAA web site for forwarding to open faculty position applicants in order to collect information for the AAR form.
- Pool Reports - this year, the ADAA office will be requesting applicant pool updates for open faculty positions on a regular basis. An updated pool report spreadsheet and guidelines for completing the spreadsheet will be provided soon on the ADAA web site. Again this year, pool report evaluations with feedback from the ADAA office must occur prior to the first visit.
This Week in Academic Affairs - September 22, 2008
Recruit and Hire:
- New templates for offer letters and other R&H documents have been loaded to the ADAA web site for the coming recruiting season.
- The ADAA office is in the process of scheduling R&H Workshops for both search committee chairs and unit personnel involved in the R&H process. Please watch for announcements regarding each of these events.
- New this year - Authority to proceed with a search is contingent upon all members of your search committee having attended a STRIDE Recruiting Workshop within the previous 3 years or committing to attend one of several available workshops this fall. Click here for more information or to register.
Promotion and Tenure:
- Requests for Major Review and Reappointment Committees will be going out to department chairs in the next few days. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this process, please feel free to contact Sherry Folsom.
- The ADAA office will be hosting a CRLT Players Event entitled "The Fence" on Tuesday, October 7th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM during the regularly scheduled Department Chairs meeting. This workshop focuses on the tenure process and provides a timely and thoughtful treatment of the subject for faculty involved in this decision-making process. Invited to attend are Department Chairs, CoE Executive Committee members and senior faculty from each department that play key roles in the promotion and tenure process (e.g. departmental executive committee members or full professors).
