Adam came to the University of Michigan in 2007, to pursue a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. Since then, he has enjoyed working with Prof. Alec D. Gallimore in the Plasmadynamics and Electric Propulsion Laboratory (PEPL), where his research focuses on applying RF plasma technology to advanced space propulsion systems. He is continuously appreciative of the experimental facilities at PEPL and the plasma community at Michigan. His interest in the use of nuclear energy in space systems also drove him to earn a MSE in Nuclear Engineering & Radiological Sciences in 2011. Before coming to Michigan, Adam enjoyed working in the private sector during his undergraduate summers, especially as a systems engineering intern for Orbital Sciences Corporation, and so he plans to be active in industry in the future.
