Peng Zhang's current research focuses on the modeling of phenomenology of surface and interface sciences, including electrical and thermal contacts, roughness-induced enhanced surface heating, surface flashover and discharge, field enhancements, and surface instability in pinched plasmas. Prior to his entry to UM, he worked in NTU on the transport of electron pulses in a vacuum nano-diode.
