The 2011 Engineering Graduate Symposium Intel Featured Speaker is Dr. Vivek De.  

Dr. Vivek De is an Intel Fellow in Intel Labs, and Director of Circuit Technology Research. Currently he serves as Director of the Circuits Research Lab in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he is responsible for providing strategic technical directions for long term research in future circuit technologies including energy-efficient logic and memory, power delivery and distribution, inter-chip wireline communications and integrated biosystems. He has 198 publications in refereed international conferences and journals, and 176 patents, with 28 more patents filed (pending). He received an Intel Achievement Award for his contributions to a novel integrated voltage regulator technology. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India in 1985 and his master's degree in electrical engineering from Duke University in 1986. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1992.  He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
