Beyond Traditional Boundaries
At Michigan Engineering, students and faculty are encouraged to work across engineering disciplines and build competencies beyond engineering. The College supports these endeavors with numerous resources.
Center for Entrepreneurship, which:
- helps students and faculty turn ideas and technologies into products, services and companies
- provides a co-curricular program for undergraduate students interested in becoming entrepreneurs
International Programs in Engineering Office, where students:
- find diverse opportunities to work, volunteer and study abroad
- can elect to formalize international experiences with an International Minor for Engineers
Multidisciplinary Design Minor, which:
- supports student participation in continued design, prototyping and systems testing in multidisciplinary teams
- provides opportunities for learning through service
Wilson Student Team Project Center, which provides:
- 10,000 sq. ft. of space for students to launch a dream
- comprehensive resources for design, assembly, machining, electronics, composite lay-up and painting of team projects
